There are so many things a woman needs to prepare for a fight. But even after years and months of preparation there is always more that can be done. Use this Fight Preparation section to comment and create discussions under each of the categories below.

Jeet Kune Do - Also referred to as Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do or Bruce Lee’s art and philosophy. It is his personal method of expressing the Martial way. At a glance it is every bit as physical as Boxing or Muay Thai and just as intuitive as Jiu-Jitsu. Bruce Lee’s art form is about self discovery and expression. It is also about fighting in its purest forms. JKD students are first exposed to ALL aspects of fighting and then challenged and encouraged to develop and personalize their own methods. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be used for many things. It is very common to see it used in street fighting. It is also common as a sport. There are Jiu-Jitsu tournaments held all over the world. These tournaments develop their own rules. The goal of sport Jiu-Jitsu is to win by points or submission. A few examples of common Jiu-Jitsu organizations that hold tournaments are listed below:

The Men versus Women page is not meant to be a fight for who is better but a place where individuals can post information on the experiences they had when fighting a man vs. a woman. Most gyms do not have many woman fighters. There are usually 3 times as many men. Therefore when competing, fighting a woman just as good and at the same size may feel a lot different.

Kickboxing is practiced all over the world. It is a form of Martial Arts that uses kicking and punching in a ring with gloves. 

There are a number of different ways to Strength Train for a fight. The question is always what way is the right way? Women’s bodies are different than men’s which means strength training for a fight is going to be different. This category allows women to talk about what has worked for them.

The category Women in MMA is a broad category that is used to talk about anything from opinions on specific women training in MMA to advice on how to go about training MMA. Be honest and respect others opinions.
